Welcome to Trails End Newfoundlands. We are Dave and Charlene Schwartz. We live in the beautiful community of Paradise, Newfoundland where we raise our provincial dog, the Newfoundland.
We are quite proud of our newfies. We have worked with many breeders along the way to achieve the true standard of the newfoundland breed. One that is the kindest, sweetest, loyal companion, and also strong enough to save a drowning man. Our dogs thrive as family companions but are also at home in the water and in the show ring.
We do not own kennel dogs. Our newfoundlands share our home and our lives. They are first and foremost our family pets. We work very hard to provide our dogs with the best .... we walk and socialize in many new situations every day, we take them to one of many lakes or ponds in our communtiy and they swim 2- 3 times per week. We are active in conformation classes as well as obedience. We attend many social events such as the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary annual police gathering and local events in our communtiy. Our newfoundlands are comfortable in any situation, but their favorite is to be at home, sleeping on our bed!!!
We do not breed on a large scale, only 1 - 2 litters per year as we are more concerned about the quality of our dogs, not quantity. We work very hard to provide our newfoundland puppies with the best possible homes. We do not place our dogs as out door dogs, they MUST be kept indoors as a part of the family. Newfoundlands thrive on human companionship and need to be with people, we wouldn't have it any other way. Our puppies come with a 100% health guarantee and MUST be spayed / neutered by the appropriate age.
